Description: 1998 Toyota 4Runner V6 4WD. 174xxx miles.

1998 4Runner v6 4wd desert dune metallic.I bought this 4Runner with the intentions on a full build to be a great daily driver and a capable off-road truck. My priorities have changed to focus on a new house, so I will have to sell the 4Runner to help with the finances.

I would still classify this truck as a project, with a weekends worth of work to get it up to par. The main issue is the power steering rack needs to be replaced. I have planned to replace it, but if I do I will be replacing all of the other steering and suspension parts while I am in there and ask more for the truck. It also needs a new exhaust from the cat back.

I have replaced the rear axle seal and replaced with all new bearings, seals, fluids, and the rear brakes. I have replaced the rear shocks as well. Also the transfer case output shaft seals were replaced along with new fluid.

The engine runs great, starts easy every time even in the recent cold weather. Transmission shifts fine no issues, and fluid is clean and has no signs of contamination. I installed a new battery that is only a few months old as well.

Interior drivers seat is worn and has some tears, but the other seats are fine. Could use a general cleaning.

Paint on the outside is really good, no clear coat peel at all. Driver side front fender has a dent, and should be replaced if you wanted a perfect exterior truck. Passenger rear fender has some small rust bubbles appearing. Once grinded down and painted, they would be out of site if fender flares were re-installed. This rust was caused by a clump of dirt/mud that got trapped in the fender well.

The frame and undercoating had very light surface rust when I got it. I have since spent a lot of time knocking all of this off and repainting with frame coating and rust preventative paint. The underside looks almost brand new now

Tires are in very good shape, Michelin 265s mud and snow with about 85-90% tread left. They were new before I bought the truck last year.

$2900 obo

Thanks for looking!
