1996 Miata 5spd ($2500) - DC Area

I am looking for $2,500 cash, but I am willing to hear offers.

I will entertain trades still, but no trucks/ATV's/non-vehicles.

PROS:
-100% Mechanically A-OK (except for small oil leak somewhere)
No smoke, everything works (including A/C), perfect soft top, nice aftermarket stereo, etc.

-Factory Torsen LSD. The prior owner (professional BMW mechanic) installed this, it was not originally on the car from the factory. Torsen NA8 LSD's are worth like $4-600 on their own.

CONS:
-Flat white paint w/flat black hood. Paint was applied with a spraygun, not a roller, so it's quite even, but flat white is flat white. Paint applied by prior owner.

-Airbags were deployed when I got it. Frame is straight with no evidence of anything beyond a very very minor front bump (come see for yourself), but airbags were both out. I bought two replacement bags and have installed them, but the airbag light is still on because I haven't reset it or gotten a new airbag module. It SHOULD pass inspection in MD with the light on, so long as the bags are in place, not sure about VA. Either way, not a huge problem. I can include an airbag light eliminator from Works Bell.

Pics:

(I don't have interior pics, but I can take some. The interior is in GREAT shape, and as I said, both new airbags are installed).

You've got to be kidding.

Clear-titled mechanically perfect 1.8L Miata with perfect top and cold A/C for a grand? I installed both airbags, so now the only things "wrong" with it are flat-white paint and an airbag light. There's no way those two things drop the value of this car to $1,000. With good original paint, this would be a $3000-3500 car, not including the Torsen.

I'm daily driving this now, so I'm no longer immediately trying to sell it, but if someone offers me a really cool trade, I'd think about it. My 5spd Cressida and S14 are definitely for sale though.

I'm going to bump this.

I'm not really actively looking to sell the car, but since I already made a thread, I'll see what people are willing to either trade or offer in cash.

Please no non-vehicular trades. I don't want any DSLR's, firearms, Plasma TV's, or homoerotic sexual services. Keep that shit to yourself.

^^
I'm not looking to trade for any non-running cars. It'd also be a bitch to get a non-running car from NN or anywhere similar up to DC.

BUMP.

Show me what you've got. I'd love a nice DA or maybe some other Honda product....or an E30.

Bump again, as I'm starting to actually get some offers on this via PM.

Thus, if people are interested in either offering cash also or offering neato trades, now is probably the time, or at least within the next week or so.

Now really for sale. $2,500 or trade. Come and get it. I ended up getting a mint 1990 NA6 with a hardtop yesterday, so this Miata has to go to pay for stuff I want to do to the other one.
