1994 Civic Hatch VX model - $1100 - Richmond,Va
SOLD
UP for sale is my 1994 Civic VX (the super high mpg model) 155k miles
I purchased it from a customer of ours (as Im a mechanic) that recently wrecked it. He hit something hard enough to damage the fender, bumper, hood, right headlight, right suspention, and wheel.
I replaced all right side suspention, fender and headlight. The hood still has damage and the front bumper is helt together with rivets..... but serves its purpose. It did damage the core support so technically it has "frame damage", or at least in my eyes it does.
It does drive straight, the headlights are aimed correctly etc.
The good- It gets about 32-35 city and 45+ on the highway. The AC works. It has a CD player. New $330 (my cost, 450 retail) 5 wire o2 sensor. No rust
The bad- Its about 3 shades of red. The transmission is very noisey! Mostly in 1 2 3 (been like this for over a year, I changed the fluids and it wasnt dirty at all, just trans bearings going out). Clutch is good, and I have another trans... though its from a EX so the gear ratios are different so the gas mileage may suffer. But you could always sell it to get a DX or VX CX trans (all fit). Interior is in need of cleaning. Inspection runs out this month. Left front upper ball joint is worn, I have a replacement that comes with it.
Price $1100 with either 3 VX wheels and a spare, or 4 98 civic EX wheels with hubcaps, but one is flat. Or, 1200 with both sets of wheels... or $1250 with my wheels from my 98 Civic DX hatch and hubcaps (basically new). I know it has all 4 wheels on it in the pics, but one is my roomies.... he let me borrow it for a while
The only reason Im selling it is b/c it sometimes has a small hesitation during very light throttle and it annoys me as I havent figured it out. That and I just purchased a 98 hatch that I like alot more as its black. its that plain and simple
car is located near the Richmond airport. The title is still in the prev owners name though I've put about 2-3k miles on it. Its not perfect! I just want everyone to know that!!!
