Default 1992 Nissan Maxima SE

Name: Carson
Location: Charlottesville
Means of contact: PM or email cardana24 at yahoo dot com
Price: $2200

Description:
It's time for me to sell my 3rd gen. The car is in great running condition! It is inspected in Virginia though March 2012. The car has 165k on the clock but only about 80k on the JDM replacement VE30. The limited slip 5 speed transmission is in great shape. The car is grey in color and has black leather interior, and black dash and carpet and OEM floor mats, all in good shape. AC works and it's still R12. I have an alpine head unit installed, along with Boston acoustics separates up front and pioneer 6x9's in the rear. This VE5 is in good shape and I would like it to go to another maxima enthusiast. My price is $2,200. I am located in Central VA. More details and pics below.

History:
I bought the car about 4 years ago, with 125k miles. It had a blown head gasket, so I put in a JDM replacement engine with 30k-40k miles. The car currently has 165k. It has never left me stranded. Most problems I have had with the car are related to either ignition coils or fuel injectors. Any problem I have had with the car is documented here. I have never wrecked the car and see no evidence of the car ever being wrecked, the vin number will be posted below so you can run a carfax if you like.

Exterior:
Over all good shape. The grey paint still shines, except on the front bumper(yellow bumper primer is showing though). It could use a good buffing, it seems to have some road grit/sap on the car. Also, the roof of the car and the hood looks like some acorns have fallen on the car. The car has infinity q45 touring wheels with good tires. I also have the stock wheels with shot tires that will come with the sale of the car. All the glass is good. The windows are tinted the VA legal limit 35% in the rear and 50% up front. I have also done a trunk swap since I prefer a spoiler less trunk and my stock spoiler was pealing up on the edges. I swapped over the correct tension rods and mounted the third brake light in the stock GXE position. The stock SE trunk lid can come with the sale of the car too if you want it. There is a small spot of rust (see picture) just in front of the left rear wheel.

Interior:
Black leather. There is one tear on the driver side seat, and the top of the rear seat is cracked from sun damage, other than that the seats are in good shape (see pics). As posted earlier I have an alpine head unit installed, Boston Acoustic separates installed up front, and Pioneer 6x9's up front. The stock floor mats are in good shape and the carpet is clean. All door skins are in good shape. I bought a real leather shift boot that is still in great shape and my center console has been re-covered so that is in really good shape too. I have a AE shift knob installed. All windows are power and work, except for the passenger side front window. When you push the switch it will not move. I think it just needs another master switch, and the car will come with another used one.

Mechanical:
The JDM VE30 has ~80k miles. When I put the engine in I replaced all of the exhaust studs with the updated studs from Nissan, so I don't have any problems with broken studs. The engine run great, and I change the oil with Mobil 1 every 5k miles. Like most VE's my engine does clack some times.

The 5 speed LSD transmission is in great shape too. No funny noises, no popping out of gears, no grinding. Both cv axles are brand new and the tranny is full of Amsoil GL4 gear lube.

The suspension is stock SE suspension in good shape.

Mods:
-Warpspeed Y pipe
-Warpspeed High Flow Cat
-2.25" custom exhaust, with magnaflow resonator, and dynomax turbo muffler (it's not much louder than stock and it does not drone), stock cat back can also come with the car
-Adjustable rear links (allows you to make camber adjustments once your car is lowered)
-Q45t wheels
-AE shift knob

Please let me know what questions you have. I can show the car most evenings and weekends.

Thanks man! I am hoping the person that buys it will appreciate the car. Here is a pic of what it looked like when it was lowered with wheels. Also, I am pretty sure I mentioned this above but the fenders are rolled so it is ready for some agressive wheels/tires if you want to put them on the car.

Had '90 SE and absolutely loved that thing. One of the best cars I've owned.
Best of luck with your sale.
