Up for sale is my 1990 RX-7 GXL. It has a 6 port turbo (6 port high compression NA converted to turbo) setup running on the stock S5 Turbo II ECU and sensors. It runs around 5psi off the wastegate spring (never cared to add an mbc, I'm more of a suspension guy).

Engine is a rebuilt (less than 10,000 miles), streetported S5 NA block with turbo II rotor housings and a rotary aviation rebuild kit (with the "super seals"). Its a unique setup with the 8,000rpm redline which isn't offered on Turbo II's. It also has a full Japan2LA S5 TII drivetrain with polyurethane diff mounts. You can boost the crap out of the car at this low boost level. I would recommend a manual boost controller that turns it up to ~8psi. I'm more of a suspension/twisties guy so I never cared to do it. In its current state it pulls hard, has great turbo response because of the high compression and is extremely reliable.

The suspension is a ground control coilover setup with adjustable tokico illumina shocks all around.
It also has ALL new polyurethane bushings with the DTSS eliminators along with a ton of new suspension/chassis parts (see list)

The brakes and tires all have less than 3,000 miles. The setup is stock rotors with hawk blue pads all around and Kumho Ecsta XS tires. I just performed a 4 wheel alignment and I have attached the sheet with all the measurements. The car is stupid fast in the twisties.

I've owned this car for over 6 years and put my heart and soul into it. I'm a Mercedes technician and I service cars for a living, so the work is done right. I'm selling the car because I'm currently studying engineering and financing education so I have neither the time, nor the money to devote to this car. I basically ordered a ton of new parts before starting school and ended up
needing to finish the car just to sell it. You can profit off my poor judgement. The car has a fresh VA state inspection.

Exterior 8/10
Interior 7/10
Engine 10/10

Shortcomings:

I would eventually change the exhaust if I were the new owner. It has a slight leak at the presilencer and doesn't fit well.

The car has all polyurethane mounts (diff, engine, suspension) so the ride is harsh. You feel every bump on the road. Its a driver's car.

The car has no P/S and A/C. The 17:1 steering rack has been depowered to prevent hydrolocking during abrubt changes in the steering input (like in a slalom).

The stock TII engine management leaves much to be desired for a streetported 6 port block. The fuel maps are a bit on the rich side. A standalone engine management system or even minor tuning with an RTEK would go a long way.

The interior has some broken panels, typical of a 20 year old car.

The windshield washer system has been removed for a TID duct. (The wipers are still operational)

Headunit is a crappy unit with only a working aux input (I use my MP3 player)

On to the mod list and pictures:

Engine, Drivetrain and Exhaust
S5 turbo (52mm wastegate port)
S5 turbo manifold
S5 turbo throttle body (sec. plates removed) and intakes
