1990 300ZX Twin Turbo T-Top, 24k mi engine, 123k mi body, 19PSI, built - VA Beach
Name: Ian Ratliff
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Means of contact: 202/669-2029
Price: $8500
Description:
Price is FIRM - this is the lowest I will take for it. I am not accepting lower offers. It's gotta go THIS WEEK! This car is extremely fast. 10" wide rear tires, limited slip differential, and it breaks loose in 3rd gear no problem. Very fun to drive! Engine completely built, Tein coilovers all around, great sound system. See below for the list of modifications. Clean title in hand.
WHAT IT NEEDS:
1. New front tires. Matching Pirelli P Zero Nero's can be shipped from TireRack (ground is overnight since their warehouse is nearby) for $360. Local shops sell Cordovan's for $115/pc (but they won't match). Front tire size: 245/40 R18. (Rear is 275/35 R18). I can take care of this, no problem, but I will increase the price to accommodate the new tires.
2. The clutch makes a noise when engaging/the discs are slipping. It won't leave you stranded. The clutch grabs just fine. It's a noise, and you can drive it without making the noise if you let the clutch out a certain way. It's an RPS twin disc carbon/carbon clutch. 2 options: buy a cheaper 5 or 6-puck clutch for $400-600 or send to RPS and have them fix it for probably less than that. I would recommend the latter as it is not only cheaper, but the twin disc full carbon clutches are great for this amount of power. Here is the clutch: http://www.turboclutch.com/Pages/RPS%20ST%20Full.htm.
3. Doesn't need, but it could use a dyno tune. This will get the maximum amount of power, let you know exactly what you're putting down, increase fuel efficiency, and extend the life of the engine and turbos. On a previous build without head work, stock internals, and smaller turbos @ 16 PSI, it was dyno tuned and put down 460WHP. It's had a lot done since then, bigger turbos @ 19PSI. With tune it should easily be over 500.
4. Front right fender could use re-painting. Clear coat is stripped off of most of it. Doesn't look bad from a distance, and it's in the pictures, but hard to tell. It was from fuel rail work back in 2005 and fuel sprayed the fender.
Otherwise, she's good to go. Ready to test drive. The front tires are okay for around town, I just wouldn't take a long 3+ hour trip as a precaution.
For sale is a black exterior, black leather interior 300ZX twin turbo. The Z was originally non-turbo and a twin turbo motor was swapped into it in 2005. The engine was built by Import Parts Pro (http://www.importpartspro.com/) - the only thing stock about the engine is the block itself, which is bored .040" over. Virginia safety inspection good through 03/2014. Title in hand.
It's extremely painful for me to let this car go, but I'm moving to California and don't have the space to keep it while I'm there.

Power driver seat, windows, mirrors (brakes, steering too of course)
