Name: Chris Duncan
Location: Chester, VA Means of Contact: PM, Email (cduncan03 at gmail dot com) Description: I'm selling the car because I recently aquired a 91 SE-r and I need this gone ASAP. The car is in decent shape and was my daily driver for 6 months. Below is a list of mods along with the good/bad. 1989 Honda Civic _Engine_ B18A1 w/ 5-speed LS Cable Tranny Upgraded Clutch not sure of brand, I didn't do it. Intake (Filter was being cleaned in pics) Header Exhaust Tune up done 2k miles ago (Plugs , cap, rotor, wires, etc) _Suspension_ Stock springs/struts EG DX front calipers new pads and rotors Integra rear disc conversion with new pads and working ebrake New master cylinder Goodrich Stainless braided lines at all 4 corners 15" Tenzo-R Mugen replica's _Interior_ JVC CD player Burgandy interior Aftermarket steering wheel Razo Shift Knob Oil Pressure gauge Torn Driver's seat bolster _Exterior_ Burgandy paint is faded with black bumpers Yellow fogs in grill Honda mudflaps The Good: - Runs great - Lots of new parts - Plenty of potential, i was going to boost it, but got another car. The Bad: - Tranny casing is cracked - Shift linkage is shot - Slight rust on passenger rear wheel arch - Torn Driver's Side bolster The transmission casing is cracked, but I have an almost new tranny waiting to go in, I just dont have the time. The guy I got it from had paperwork showing that it was replaced by acura last year. I have never drag raced the car, I'm more of the autoX type, but it is pretty fun for what it is and makes for a good DD. The prics is $1200obo for it in it's current form with everything listed above. If I have to put the tranny in the price goes up to $2500. The car will start, but is not driveable due to the tranny. Only serious buyers please, shoot me an email or PM and we can arrange a time to look at the car. Thanks, Chris http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0603.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0593.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0595.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0596.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0606.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0608.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0601.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0604.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_0611.jpg |

no working ac, but the condensor is still there, you would need the compressor and lines.

Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
How much for the wheels?
|
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
Wheels can be had for $2000 and even comes with a car.
The tranny is going in within the next couple of weeks. Make offers while you can, price goes to $2200. |
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
Alright, I'm in the midst of a financial strain and I need this car gone, the first $1200 takes it. No trades and serious buyers only. I need this gone.
It comes with everything I've listed, including the new trans and shift linkage. |
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
GREAT DEAL someone will be happy as hell to get this at this price broken its worth what he wants if noone buys this we shoud work out something
|
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
The car runs strong and it's only downfall is that it isnt a real looker. I would put the trans in, but I work full-time and go to school at night. Thanks for the bump, it's a hell of a deal, I'm loosing about $1500 at this price.

Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
trade me for the celica all-tracpics in threads
|
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
As much as I would LOVE to have an all-trac, I'm getting married this year and I really need the cash.
Sorry man they are great cars, take care of the all-trac, they are getting pretty rare, as if they were common in the first place. |
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
that car used to belong to a guy named billy?
|
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
maybe, I met the guy who originally did the swap, but never caught his name. I bought it from a friend.

Yeah that was billy's old car, it also had nitrous on the car when he had it.

Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1

Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
He was driving the jeep when I met him. I never draged the car, so I have no times, it was my daily ride back and forth to work. The car runs strong, compression was still good, never knew it was on the bottle though. The exhaust wasn't my type. It's loud and sounds like every other honda I've ever heard. I was going a different route with the exhaust but got another car instead. It looks to be a custom flowmaster application.
I did the rear disc conversion, along with the braided lines and was going to use it for auox, but as previously stated, I got my SE-R. So this project died. I sold it to a friend, but he backed out on the rest of the money so I took the car back. |

Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
i thought with that valve cover, that the motor is a B18B, not a B18A:dunno:
|
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
The motor is a B18A1, well, it's stamped on the bloack at least. With what I've been told it is a B20 valve cover, I'm not sure, by no means a honda aficionado.
I have no idea who I met, he told me he originally did the swap and what not. It was a red jeep, didn't look lifted, but had bigger tires on it. The car was awesome to drive on a daily basis, plenty quick for what I needed, and with a better suspension could be quite the corner carver. |
Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
so you might have a b20, or b18b head. I thought that that valve cover would not fit a b18a head. Either way, this is a good deal:thup:

Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
lol, who knows, all the more reason for someone to hop on this. All it takes is 3 hours of your time to put the tranny in and you saved EASILY $1,000. Hell turn around and make a buck, I just need it gone. I work full-time and go to school at night all week so I have no time to put this together. I have all the parts and a mint shift linkeage. COME GET IT!!!!!!! :D

Re: 1989 Civic DX EF Sedan B18A1
