A lot of people in the honda community do this swap and call it a "g22". You are 100% correct. The "g" series came in 2.0 or 2.5. However this swap (as far as the honda community is concerned anyway) is a G22 Frankenstein. It is just what the community has named the swap. Easier than saying I've got an f22 with an h22 head on it. People stop looking at the F22.

To summarize. You are correct. However, he is also correct as far as the "honda community" goes.

exactly "there is no g22" thats why people call this the g22. its a frankenstein name dude. dont split an atom over some dumb honda lingo. at least this kid was smart enough to put that it indeed was a frankenstein swap. therefore he cleared up all the confusion right there. chill out man...
