Attn: Car is still for sale or trade, I broke the passenger side axle on monday of last week. the axle only costs 125.00 and is easy to replace but I dont have 125.00 or the time to wait for it so I have dropped the price almost 3,000 to make it more appealing to someone. Come with an axle and drive it away or come with a trailer. ASAP

Up for sale is my favorite car. It is my 2000 Honda s2000. I am looking for cash but a trade or trade plus cash might work too. Let me Know what you have.

**Exterior:

This car is in excelent condition. It has minor dings from being a daily driver for over 10 years, but for its age and millage it is in great condition. Read on to learn about the newly rebuilt engine, new transmission, and amazing turbo kit.

**The Interior:

The interior is in excelent shape with only minor wear on the drivers side left bolster. This bolster wear is a very common issue on s2000s. Everything inside the car works perfectly. Believe it or not the air conditioner and heat still work like new, even with the turbo setup. The radio still works great, along with the cd player. The speakers sound crisp with no rattles, or other sound related issues. The interior light works great, and everything on the cluster works without a problem. Cruise control works great, and has buttons on the steering wheel to activate it, and change the speed up and down. The convertible top goes up and down without a problem, and it is electric. The top is in 8/10 condition. I installed the plastic wind screen that is commonly found in the ap2 s2ks, and also installed a new boost gauge, it is 100% accurate.

**Now for the engine and transmission:

The engine is fresh with less than 15k miles on a full rebuild. It was rebuilt with low compression pistons, forged rods and new valves and springs. When the engine was rebuilt the timing chain was replaced, as was the serpentine belt. The reason it was built low compression was so that the engine could handle just about as much boost as you would like to run. It has FULL 3" EXHAUST from the turbo back to a greddy evo muffler. It sounds great. I just changed the oil using mobil one, and a mobil oil filter, I replaced the oil plug washer everytime I changed the oil. ** The transmission was replaced with a newer transmission out of a 2006 s2000 with only 34,000 miles on it. I used genuine honda transmission fluid. When the transmission was replaced I purchased an ACT 6 puck un-sprung clutch with a heavy duty pressure plate. The throughout bearing was replaced and the flywheel was smoothed out. The ACT is a great clutch with amazing holding capacity, but it is definately easier to operate then the4 puck that was in there.

**The turbo Kit: The turbo kit was put on around the time of the rebuild, so it has approximately 15,000 miles on it. It was tuned for 17 psi and put down an amazing 417 rwhp and 280 tq to the wheels. This is an amazing set of numbers for an s2000. The Kit was tested on 12 psi and it made 380whp and also tested on race fuel @ 30 psi and it made close to 600hp. *amazing* It runs daily @ 17psi and has perfect AFRs which is the most important aspect of tuning these cars. The kit @ 17 psi is not even at half of its potential. But without building up the driveline 17 psi is a safe mark for regular use. The kit consists of the following parts and cost around $5,800.00 before labor. These are the components:

Precision 6262 Billet Turbocharger, Cast Iron Turbo Manifold, Turbonetics Evolution WastegateGreddy, RS Blow Off Valve, 600hp efficient Front Mount Intercooler, 3" Stainless Steel Downpipe, 1.75 Steel Open Dump Tube, 2.5" Intake with Filter, 2.5" Aluminum Intercooler Piping, Silicone Couplers and T-bolt Clamps, Greddy Pressure Sensor, Oil Filter Relocate Kit, Water relocation lines, Walbro 255, Intake Fuel Pump, RC Injectors, B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator, Crank Case Breather Filters, Racing Brisk Spark Plugs, Oil Line supply and drain kit, and All Hardware and Gaskets. It is a bunch of the best parts available for our hondas.

Overall:

In total there is a ton of money invested in this setup. A brief list includes

Car: $11,000.00

Turbo kit: $5,800.00

Engine Build:$3,400.00

Transmission +Clutch $3,050.00

Labor: A LOT
TOTAL OF JUST MAJOR JOBS AND CAR PRICE= OVER 25,000.00 INCLUDING THE CAR

thats including the price of the car. I just wanted people to know around what it would cost to replicte this car. Im not claiming its worth 27k but if you woke up and wanted to get an s2k to reliably DD with a 6262 on 18 psi its not going to be a 5k job. it takes a ton of work to make something like this functional.

I am not asking a ton of money, and the guy who questioned the 4k labor that is very funny to me sorry but people may not know alldata quotes 12 hours on a transmission down and up just to replace the trans. now add in the clutch install fluid shop fees and taxes thats 2k right there....... thats before a complete engine build... some people should not breed

I'm not saying that $4,000 is to much in labor, but just seems like a lot when the cost of labor is more then your actual build.

So they basically charged you $2,000 to just put in a transmission and clutch?
