1999 Honda Civic EX Coupe
Name: Sean
Location: Charlottesville
Means of contact: PM
Price: $1700.00 OBO!!
COULD POSSIBLY TAKE A PARTIAL TRADE, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE>>>
items id be interested in: PS3 (system, games, etc), Fender MIM Stratocaster (or other guitars)
Description:
~195,000 miles
$1700 OBO!
(OBO OBO OBO OBO OBO)
CAN I STRESS THAT THE PRICE IS OBO???
This car is definitly a beater, and i havent driven it in over a month due to an eye injury
Before my eye injury, i was using it as my daily driver to and from work 4 days a week, about 22 miles a day total. It has never given me any problems.
Mechanically STOCK (except for aftermarket muffler)
RUNS GREAT!! The engine runs smoothly, EDIT: sometimes it smells like its burning off some oil
Vtec engages as it should
Shifts smoothly, rides nice. Fuel efficient
EDIT: while driving, i noticed what sounds like a bad wheel bearing. not sure which wheel its coming from, the exhaust is kinda loud/drones...i didnt think the exhaust sounded that loud back in march
All power features work:
windows (passenger is slow)
locks (no keyfob though)
moonroof
cruise control
power steering
air conditioning
Inspected til 11/11
I dont smoke, and i dont transport pets in it
(although, it has been sitting and some field mice have been in there)
Bought from another member in 04/09, with the damage to the passenger rear from previous owner
Had black housing aftermarket taillights, i replaced those with oem from a 97
The trunk leaks a little during heavy rains or if snow accumulates EDIT: has a funky wet odor (havent given it a good cleaning in a while)
During one of the snow storms last year, i slid off the road and dented the passenger fender
The headlights are hazy/dull
Tires are in good shape
Havent checked the brakes, they seemed okay last time i drove the car
Im not proud of the interior, even when its cleaned up its still not where i would like it to be.
Guess that goes with it having close to 200k miles though
Some of the panels arent factory tight
Has dynamat in the trunk, missing the hardboard that covers the spare tire
The drivers seat has a stripped bolt that holds it down, causes it to rock a bit
The rear speakers seem loose
Has a pioneer flip down deck with remote (idk if the remote works, never changed the battery)
The window tint isnt the best, especially on the doors where you look through at the mirrors
When i bought this car, i thought it would be cheap to fix the rear damage. i was wrong.
i never took it in to get an estimate, but was advised it would probably be $1500+
So i just drove it as is.
Who knows, maybe the next Honda trend will be busted exteriors?
Gotta generate some cash for some bills that are piling up, so this has to go
Thanks for looking

Re: 1999 Honda Civic EX Coupe
i cleaned the bay a little after i got the car. anyone who is interested, i wouldnt worry about the mileage. the way the car runs, you wouldnt think it has that many miles on it.
wife drove the car yesterday and says it started right up, and that the trunk was bone dry.

Re: 1999 Honda Civic EX Coupe
serious beater status, you dont need to worry about parking lot dings/scratches because its already busted
drove the car yesterday, and the check engine light came on. getting it checked on wednesday, also going to clean up the interior and maybe get some new pics up
