1989 Honda Prelude SI 4WS

Price: Asking 1500$ -lowball ready, or will trade for a winter beater, anything FWD, or AWD, so long as it has a decent inspection and runs at least fairly well. Could even not be running if it was something I could fix quickly and cheaply. Will also trade for RT AWD Civic parts. Like, lots of parts.
Description: Long story short, quick project that just keeps turning into a problem. Traded an Audi for this one, thought I could make it a winter beater on the cheap, but every time I take it to get inspected, they find something else wrong with it. I have already replaced the power steering rack with a reman unit from Rock Auto (~$300), and when I went to have it aligned, they told me there was a rear tie rod end that had failed. Sourced and replaced that (~$80, also from Rock Auto), and now they tell me there's a bushing in the rear upper control arm that has gone bad. In this time, the fuel injectors have begun to leak fuel past the o-rings, and the power steering pump seems to be cutting out from time to time. Oh, and the exhaust will need to be replaced - pretty much from the converter back (converter is fine). I really just need something reliable and stock to drive through the winter, and I'm getting real sick of this car.
Good stuff: The car is completely stock except for the Stereo and speakers which have been replaced with aftermarket stuff (I may also keep this stuff, depending on the offer). The car runs REALLY well, and drives beautifully. The four wheel steering still takes me by surprise every time I drive it. The transmission shift like FREAKING. BUTTER. This is seriously the tightest shifting stock car I have ever driven. Interior is clean and comfortable. Tires are nice and meaty. OEM fog lights.
Other notes: The fuel gauge does not work, I have been told the car needs to be re-fuelled when the trip odometer reads 200 miles. The driver's door lock is a different key pattern than every other cylinder on the car, I usually just unlock and lock the car from the passenger's side, since the power locks do work properly. Odometer reads 205413. Oil leaks, it is a Honda after all. Has a brand new battery installed also. Clean, fresh VA title.

As of right now, this car has no inspection on it, so it will take some work to get up to beater status.
