* Description:
Went searching for this exact car high and low about 2 years ago. I wanted another Civic, and I thought I could do better than my old hatchback. Turns out I was wrong. This is a great car, but I really just want a hatchback.

Since I bought it about a year and a half ago, I have replaced the timing belt, tensioner and water pump, as well as the front and rear engine mounts (the hardest ones to get to), and the power steering rack. I also had to replace the transmission, so I replaced the clutch and pressure plate at that time. The transmission was replaced with a used unit, which I am told had 50K miles on it (I have absolutely no way to verify this). The new trans shifts good, and doesn't leak, overall the vehicle runs very well. I believe the O2 sensor has gone bad, as the CEL will come on intermittently after several minutes of driving.

The car was repainted by the PO, and done very poorly. There was some very bad masking done, and the poor prep work shows through the final result. It looks great from about 6-7 feet, nice and shiny, but you can only polish a turd so well. There is bondo in both of the rear wheel wells, so no need to worry about rust (<- Silver Lining).

The odometer shows 205082 miles, but this is exactly what it showed a year and a half ago when I bought it, it has not rolled at all, I have not looked into what could be causing this, but I do know that the cable is in the transmission properly, and does turn, so it may just be loose at the cluster. I never worried about it, because the mileage on the title reads something ridiculous like 236xxx. Why, I have no idea, but the PO had filled it in when I bought the car from him.

The rear section of the rear driveshaft is not installed, there is still a flange from the previously broken driveshaft bolted to the rear differential. I have this rear section which I bought used online, but once it arrived, I found that the seller had not been forthcoming about the condition of the universal joints, so it has not been installed. I have no reason to believe the AWD system would not work without new universal joints, or a newer driveshaft with good joints.

The car has been lowered on some seriously cheap ebay "coilovers." This was done by the PO, who also installed rear lower control arms, but all of the shocks are OEM, so as you can imagine, it rides like shit. I installed some Skunk2 adjustable front upper control arms to try to get SOME alignment into this thing. For some reason I think I remember that he said he had installed Integra front knuckles, but I'm not sure why that sticks in my head. The PO also had a Magnaflow muffler installed, which actually doesn't sound as much like a poop as I would have guessed, so that's good.

Leaks oil, burns oil, it's a Honda.

That's pretty much everything I can think of right now. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

PS, I had the center console loose when I was messing around with the shifter cables, It'll be re-installed before a sale.

smokes and leaking oil? those aren't good things, saying it's a Honda has nothing to do with it. That's just poor maintenance. If the cost of fixing wasn't almost as much at the vehicle I would make an offer. GLWS
