Description: 1986 Honda Civic Wagon 2WD

A good project car. Body is straight and there is only surface rust (no rust through), very solid. It is a carbureted EW3 with 219,xxx miles. Motor and transmission are solid. I at first bought this with thoughts of parting it out. It is so solid and complete I decided to try and put it back on the road. It needed an alternator which I installed, new. It ran but not very well. I did some studying at "redpepperracing.com". I decided to do the devac as outlined here:

All the electrical works. The AC system is all still intact. I had not checked that over yet. Usually new O rings and some freon and these old systems work.

I've got it to where it runs until it's fully warmed up, then it falters and won't run right till it cools down. I have done a fair amount of work on fuel injected Hondas, but may have met my match on this carburetor. At least I'm not willing to spend more time on it.

I would love to see this car brought back to the road. In many respects it's in rare condition for its age. The interior is all intact (no stereo). The seats are not ripped though a bit dirty. It has good tires and drives straight. It needs a windshield. With some minor body work and a paint job this could be a classic that gets 40 to 50 miles per gallon.

Someone with some more time than me finish this project. I am willing to deliver with tow dolly within a reasonable distance.

$800 OBO
