Why would one's reputation become disabled?

Why would one's reputation become disabled? Does it have something to do with cookies? I had to manually go in and reset my options.

It's a new option. I don't know why it disabled yours, though.

Thanks, at first I thought it may have been because of a flagged post or the dispute of a rep claim.

Is this due to the sudden influx of morons that register, post stupid crap, and get immediately red boxed?

Yes.

And the fact that I'm dominating everyone in the rep game.

I'm sure the ones that have red boxes are the ones who will disable the rep. Therefor, you can conclude anyone with a blank box that is disables sucks. It's a win win, they don't cry because they are getting negged, we know they suck, it all works out in the end.

I think it might be disabled by default if you've never used rep before, but I'm not really sure.

Couldn't care less about rep points. I don't know you and if you agree with me, great! if you disagree with me, great!.
