the infraction points system
 

How do these points work? I understand x # equals a ban. But when do they roll off of your account? I ask because I have a total of 5, 3 red, 2 yellow and it was explained to me that my next infraction could lead to a perma-ban. I have one from 2010 and a few from earlier this year if it makes any difference.

You can get banned two ways with infractions, by points or number of infractions. Points expire the number of infractions don't.

Point bans are when you get multiple infractions within a short period of time, i.e. people getting bitchy or not paying attention. Number of infractions is for longer period of time, i.e. repeat offenders.

You should post up a list of people and their number of infractions. Make it a competition.

I got a red one. They sit above your rep in the settings. I like mine... it reminds me that Malfoy loves me.

Wouldn't be much of a competition since most people would be banned :p

I have a yellow for trying to help a buddy sell his car a couple year's back.

Also, I was banned briefly when the ban hammer started dropping and I changed my avatar to an Africa Pride picture in a show of support. No record of that one in user CP.
