Default Admins/Mods ...Possible Answer to the lagging...

I'm a mod on another car forum based out of Houston... yesterday we were lagging due to some possible DDoS attacks.. we're investigating with FBI....ya'll should look into this

It's a traffic issue for this site, no indications of targeted DDoS attack.

Large threads being re-indexed, especially for small search strings, along with high traffic is killing this site. Removing the RSS feeds have already cut down on the processing.

If the site admins want me to take a look into it, I've already offered but no response back on that.

not necessarily true.. I go on another site that was DDos and our traffic is very high...

Threads: 349,650, Posts: 6,902,772, Members: 34,375 and lots of viewers

As it stands, it's looking like the same problem that we've run into before: this site is simply getting too big for the hardware it's on again.

If it was a DDoS, this site would either take forever to load (but eventually load), or just never come up. The database errors usually indicate that there's just too many things going on at any given time.

I honestly don't think any of the patrons would be opposed to a increase in the fee to help with any upgrades.
