I was really hoping the link that said "blah blah to see if it's legit" would just link to that said "it's not"

I thought about doing that, but the fact that people actually complained about links in the spam PM not working (the user had a space in their name which broke the link the bot tried to make) made me not do it. So they weren't complaining they were getting spammed, they were complaining we were sending broken links

Anything we can do to slow down people getting their computers infected (no matter how unlikely we are at being successful) is worth a shot in my book.
