Redline Time Attack @ Summit Point Raceway, WV, August 5th-6th
 

Hey everyone!

I wanted to start a new thread specifically for our Summit Point event scheduled for August 5th-6th. Registration has been open for a few weeks, so for those of you interested in competing, please click this link:

Also, please review the vehicle class rules, as you are responsible for knowing the rules of the class you wish to compete in.


Saturday, August 5th is an open test and tune day, or HPDE. If you only want to come out on Saturday for fun, and then stick around to watch the competition on Sunday, that is fine. Many people who are competing on Sunday are opting to practice on Saturday, which is one of the registration options on our website.

I will be sure to visit this thread as frequently as possible just to make sure I answer all of your questions.

Registration will pick up in the last 2-3 weeks leading up to the event, just as it did for our California Speedway event this past March. We're expecting registration to reach our capacity for this event (80 cars) so please make sure to register as early as possible. We'd hate to see you miss out on participating in this event. We're expecting between 1000-1500 spectators to make it out to the event on Sunday. We also have secured coverage from S3 Magazine and Modified Magazine and are working on securing coverage from D Sport Magazine, Racer Magazine and Modified Luxury&Exotics magazine.

Also we are doing a VIP / Tuner Showoff on Sunday at the event. Cars can enter via our website for the show or by emailing me directly at dan@redlinetimeattack.com. Car Show Registration is $15.00

We are working on an VIP afterparty for Saturday night in the area for you guys to come hang out with the industry people from JIC. Cusco, AMS, Toyo, Hawk, Modified Mag, S3 Mag, etc.......

Do you need any instructors for the HPDE? I have instructed on that track a few times now. If so, PM me and let me know what you need in instructors. I am avaialble that weekend.

my buddy is looking into getting some track time w/ an instructor. what does he have to do to get started...... thanks

We will have instructors available on Saturday who will be able to get your friend up to speed. There is an additional fee of $40 for an instructor for the day. Saturday is our High Performance Driving Event and practice day... Sunday is the actual day of the competition.

so it would the entrance fee of $200 plus $40 for the instructor? i will let him know...... any spots still open?

we do have spots left for both days. They are filling faster and faster as we approach the event. We have now confirmed Tarzan will be running in the event in cars from both DTM motorsports and AMS from IL. JIC will be bringing their S15 and a driver from JGTC. I am working on some other celeb pro drivers as well.
