Dominion Raceway
Hey everyone. I tried searching for any threads here about Dominion Raceway but I didn't have much luck so please disregard if there is already a discussion on it.
Anyways, I've been following this project for the past few months and was checking to see if any other members were aware/excited for this opportunity of an awesome looking raceway in Virginia. They are in the works of getting it all squared away and have a vision of the raceway including an oval track, a drag strip, a circuit course, and then use it for drive in movies and other family events.
More information can be found in the following links, but I am hoping to spread the word and get more support for it by letting people join the facebook page and liking it

Re: Dominion Raceway
I remember about 10 years ago there was suppose to be a road course being built in New Kent. It was approved and people even said pavement had been laid. Nothing ever happened with the site and I never knew the reason why. Maybe residents fought it or some other injunction stopped it, but id hate to see this one meet the same fate. VIR trips are too expensive to make a regular thing and this would allow a bunch of us to get more track time. Fingers crossed

Re: Dominion Raceway
"The raceway also has agreed to pay sheriff’s deputies to direct traffic at events drawing at least 2,000 people in the facility’s first year of operation."
I really think that number is low, with it being right on I95 people from up north are going to be flooding the track.
