OK. So here is the story with this trans... My friend bought it for his LS Vtec Hatch cause he thought his transmission was bad when he bought the car (car was not running due to spun bearings.) Upon tearing his Original LS transmission apart we found that everything inside was ok. He would rather have longer gears having the knowledge his original trans was in good shape. SOOOO we pulled the YS1 apart to see what it looked like. MINT on the inside! The guy we scooped the YS1 from said it shifted good and nothing was wrong with trans. Mileage is unknown. Comes with throw out bearing. My friend gave me this transmission cause he doesnt have money to pay me for my help with his motor rebuild. I`m looking for 400. call/text Todd 908-528-7695

you are both wrong... this is what it is>>> S1/YS1
Found in: 1990-93 USDM Integra LS/RS (DA)
Type:cable
1st: 3.230
2nd: 1.901
3rd: 1.269
4th: 0.966
5th: 0.742
R: 3.000
FD: 4.266
except it is the 92-93 ls tranny the only b series cable tranny that uses a different bigger clutch than the others. the YS1 that is a gsr trans. has the gold sticker on it like all the other B series cable trannys with no bar code...

or.. you could not take the case off and research it like i did 2 years ago when someone tried to sell one of these to me and tell me it was a GSR tranny...
barcode= 92-93 ls
here if you really wana open the case and check>>> open it up and count the teeth on the fifth gear pair and divide and you'll get the gear ratio for the fifth gear. 0.880 is GSR, 0.742 is LS.

There were four more teeth on the ring gear on the dif compared to the LS trans when we had them both apart. OK so I dont remember what number. The Input shaft on trans dos not work with the cable disc. I can slide my hydro clutch disc on there!!!!! Personally i think its a later year B17 Cable GSR. i think that link is wrong.. . OK thanks for verifying. DOES ANYONE WANT TO BUY THIS? or do people just like to complain. go on facebook if u want to bicker. Thanks for the bumps though. =) Not an LS transmission!

Link is correct on wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine#YS1 scroll down to nearly the bottom of the page. its the B17 GSR trans Found in: Integra 92-93 XSI/RSI (DA6, DA9). I still got this trans!
