So talking to Magnuson the cost to have this charger modified to fit my application (corvette) isn’t worth it for me, so I’ll be buying another (different ) one. This is the polished unit and comes with all/most the stuff the kit does (might be one or two hoses missing). It has about 3k miles on it. This is a quick way to add near 200rwhp to your car (installs in a day). Car last dyno’d 520hp on a break in tune w/ belt slip. Blower should have been pushing damn near 600rwhp after all said and done. On top of this, it has a custom Fuel/Water/N20 spray bar installed on the baseplate by Dave (the owner) of the nitrous outlet. This would be perfect for a dry setup or meth injection getting even MORE hp out of your motor. It also comes with 63# injectors AND a carbon fiber driveshaft. Right now it has a 1:1 pulley on the rear, and I have a couple of other pulleys for the front to adjust the boost (right now its set to make 15 psi on a free breathing LS2). For another $800 (new is $1500) I’ll throw in a COMPLETE (Front and Rear) ECS 8-rib belt setup with modified tensioner.

The retail price for SC kit alone, non-polished is $6600+shipping, add another $1000 for the polished unit. That’s $7600 (http://www.magnacharger.com/sc-gto.htm) ). I’ll sell the entire kit for $4100. (That’s $3500 off retail which doesn’t include the custom meth/water/N20 injection/misc pullies). Get the ECS setup and save another $700.

why did magnacharger say it would not work?

did they also tell you.. 'hey sell that one and make some money, and buy one that will fit from us at a highly discounted price'?

i got the exact same story trying to buy one on my V. i quit on an auction where one went for cheap so that i could get the RIGHT one for 900 more straight from them

3 months later i cancelled my order, i was getting strung along severely by them and i don't take kindly to that and wanted to hit them in the pocketbook.

turns out the ls2 version is hardly different. most noted the 4 bolt throttlebody flange. if you do some research you fill find that most people SWITCH TO THIS ONE TO MAKE MORE HP.

1. talk to some people online about what you need to make it work, NOT MAGNACHARGER
2. anyone in the market, BUY USED like this one.. you will not get one from magnacharger when you want it and they are being discontinued anyways for the tvs units.

A huge part of the issue is it would need a new shaft, IC housing b/c of the different pulley location.

I'm really trying to dump this kit at this point, $4100 for the kit.
