long shot but just what it says. input shaft bearing going on mine. stock 96 dx hatch. to minimize down time repairing mine thinking it might be easiest to get another one, replace the bearing to make sure they are good and drop it in. one that doesn't need an input shaft bearing replaced would be even better. as long as nothing needs to be changed or modded and it uses the same cv's. also as long as 5 is .702 I'm good with whatever the other ratios are.
I'll be honest, I'm looking for one cheap. in the middle of getting both shoulders operated on and am probably going to have to get someone else to do the work for me to swap it and do the clutch at the same time.
not familiar with all the trannies that will work or their ratios. but I would like to keep what I have, this is a commuter and I like the 38-40 mpg I get. not worried about better performance.
I'm in new kent but work in hampton so I can cover from the beach to richmond pretty easy to meet up or pickup.

Re: D series tranny
hate to be dumb but that means nothing to me. hydro? isn't the zc a jdm and doesn't it have different ratios? somewhere in my memory I seem to recall hearing the zc tranny would have the engine turning more rpm's at highway speeds...

Re: D series tranny
if it is a zc from what I could find out I would need to use different cv's so I'll pass, but thanks for the offer.
bump... a tranny with good input shaft bearings would do as well...
