I know Im dealing with a lost cause around here but figured I'd post up to see if anyone had anything laying around. Picked up an 87 Civic Sedan as a daily/ winter beater and got it all back together and first fire, Started right up and burnt the alternator belt off, Alternator is locked up solid after sitting for 4 months, I have less then $300 in this whole car including all parts so money is key here, I got a truck payment and bills and dont have much to spend on a beater.. So if ANYONE has or knows where there is an alternator for a 84-87 Civic Carburated, Please let me know! Thanks as always

Re: 84-87 Civic Alternator
It's the same alternator as a 22re 4runner. I swapped my 86 hatch with the yota for fun.
Possibly the f22 accords. It's a pretty common alternator.

Re: 84-87 Civic Alternator
Its $80 before a discount, I was a manager at Autozone for 3 years so I still have friends there. I know the plug is different from my old EG Alternator I have... If it was the same alternator I prolly would see alot more Yota alternators locked up, I am a big 22r guy so I know ALOT about them, I have read hundreds of posts about these 84-87 alternators locking up, My current Yota set for months I might even have that alternator laying around. I know its even different between FI and Carbed models in the 84-87. And looking around the Yota one is $50 more and a totally different part number?
