Default 2002 Corvette Engine

Name: Wade
Location: Chesapeake
Means of contact: PM or text at 757 748 4372
Price: $ 1800

Description:
Like the title states. Have the longblock out of my 2002 Corvette. Pretty much complete. You'll need a few things like coils, oil pressure sending unit, a throttle body (if youre not going electronic, and i know where a cable driven one can be had as well), oil pan, and a few minor other things. Engine has front cover with balancer and rear cover still installed as well as a water pump and thermostat. I have coil brackets, fuel rail covers and a new water pump with a 180 degree thermostat as well but not pictured. Engine didnt smoke and ran a 12.78 in richmond at the last longshots track rental. Has 60k on the clock.

I'm interested. Has the engine now or ever been cammed? IS this an LS6 or LS1 block?

I'm also in Rockville Maryland, would you meet me half way?

I'd have to check on the block. How can you tell?

The only mod to the car on this engine was headers. Ill have to see about meeting half way. i dont really have a way of getting it there thats the problem.

There's a casting on the block. Was this out of a base C5 or Z06? Regardless of any of this I'm interested. I'm still at work, I just have to talk to my old lady when I get home. Its for her miata.

All 2001+ C5s got the LS6 block, intake manifold and updated exhaust manifolds. The differences between the '01+ LS1 and the LS6 are the cylinder heads and camshaft. The '01+ heads are 241 castings vs 243 for the LS6.

Now in the F-body world I've heard it was hit or miss on the '01s and that all '02+ got the new setup.
