Jeep Cherokee "BIG BOY TOY" Trades welcome
Name: Josh
Location: Charlotte
Means of contact: 7045068912
Price: $ 2500 FIRM or trade for ... Shoot me some offers, I like a lot of stuff. No quads or anything please.
Description: Time as come to let go of my toy. I havent been getting the use out of it that I had wished for, so Im going to move on to something else for the time being.
It is a 1989 jeep Cherokee roughly 189k on chassis. Motor was replaced with a 4.0 from a 1990 Limited. Donor had 75k on it when it was pulled; it runs well. Really hate to let it go as UREs are opening back up very soon but in-between work, family, etc. I just have no time for it any longer.
Mods Done:
-6" lift Coils
-Fixed length short arms
-Braded stainless brake lines
-Rear fenders are completely redone for clearance -- inner fenderwells were sliced, reformed, the rebuilt using new sheet metal, welded into place, seam sealed, thenbedlined. Much more room than a cut and fold, and much cleaner.
-Homemade rear bumper, mounts with 8 bolts to factory locations, an also bolts into framerail. Shackle tabs go through the whole bumper, welded both sides. Rear quarter guards extended to wheel well.
-35" tires with MT bullet holes
-NP231 with PORC 32 spline HD SYE
-ZJ front driveshaft in rear, acle shimmed toward TC; yoke drilled out and four bolt-style U-joint straps
-Dana 35 swapped to 29 spline 8.25 real axle, open 3.55
-Disconnected style Dana 30 converted to full shaft(no disconnect) style, proper seals installed both sides of diff case
-Both D30 shafts swapped out to newer style (ABS) shaft with larger U-joints
-Old style (RD31) ARB locker in Dana 30 with 3.55 gears. No compressor at this time, but diff is tapped for the bulkhead. (Buckhead fitting needs new 3.5mm ferrule)
-All interior is rust prepped, welded, painted with rust encapsulator, and then bedlined with durabak
-Replaced gauge clusted for stock unit with tach
-Exterior sanded, primed, and painted with Eastwood single stage urethane flat tan (not rattle can).
-Rear tinted glass (stock tint from newer model)
-Dual (stock) electric fans, controlled by temperature switch with override -- manual on, automatic(adjustable, manual off
-160 amp alternator from Motor City Reman, alternator relocation to top of engine(level with headgasket) including AC delete, bracket modification, and new serpentine belt.
-Extended E-Brake system
Maintenance
-New idle air control valve
-New calipers
-All new steering system - New power steering pump, new gearbox(4 bolt), all new lines
-new battery
Few minor flaws
-Cracked windshield (its a trail rig, expected)
-Cracked dash
-Needs radio
