Love the truck man, but gotta ask about these numbers ... Lightnings have a S/C'd version of that engine and come at 380HP, how are you reaching that high?

What brand and rating on the injectors? Who did the tune? You have thermostats, plural. Does it have more than one thermostat? What brand for everything else where a brand wasn't mentioned? |

Ya there is no way its making that much power. That engine hasn't even been cracked open. Unless you forgot to mention a big cam and some internal work I don't see those numbers at all. I'm also curious why it has "hi flow fuel injectors" when based on what you've written, they don't seem to be needed. You've basically got bolt ons. Since you mention numbers, do you have a dyno sheet?

What brand for everything else where a brand wasn't mentioned? Accel fuel injectors I think 24lb. Work was completed a couple years ago Phoenix restoration did tune. Edge programmer The electric fans have staged thermostats. Hedman headers and Thrush cats and mufflers I will be more than happy to get new dyno runs with serious buyer. |
Re: Custom built bagged and bodied ford expedition
I started over 325 stock. Lightning only has 380 with screw??

Re: Custom built bagged and bodied ford expedition
Clear up some of the confusion since everyone is a 5.4 expert. My dyno readings were at flywheel.

Gotta love the HATERS! LMAO!

Re: Custom built bagged and bodied ford expedition
5.4 is def capable of making those numbers easily, with those mods.
Planning my 5.4 swap for this winter ;) GLWS |
Re: Custom built bagged and bodied ford expedition
Okay guys! Last thing I am going to say about the respective horsepower/ torque #'s. I believe the numbers I put on listing to be true. Now, if you are interested in buying/ trading for this truck and the main reason you want it is for the engine I suggest you look elsewhere. Regardless of the engine being 300hp or 600hp the truck weighs well over 7000lbs. The truck can and will move! This is a reliable, well built body dropped truck. Frame modifications will not twist! This is also why I did not go with a stock floor body drop!! I could not get enough lateral bracing in a smaller frame rail. I also was able to utilize stock fuel tank with minor modifications. There is nothing worse then having a cool truck that only carries 10gals or less of fuel.
With this being said, I will put my money where my mouth is! UPON CONDITIONAL SALE OF TRUCK I WILL GET NEW DYNO RUNS ON TRUCK. IF AND I MEAN IF THE NUMBERS ARE NOT WHAT I CLAIM THEM TO BE I WILL GET QUOTES TO BUILD MOTOR (add parts) TO MAKE THE NUMBERS STATED ACCURATE! I WILL THEN TAKE THAT COST DIRECTLY OFF THE ASKING PRICE! I am not looking to cheat anyone! I want the person that buys/ or trades for what I need for my next build, to be happy and bring truck back to me if there are any mechanical issues they cannot resolve. I don't build junk an I do not work with people that build junk! Jason Village Customs (Chesapeake) |
