2000 Silverado z71 4WD
Name: Adam V.
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Contact: PM
Price: $3500 OBO
Description:
-2000 Chevrolet Silverado z71 extended cab.
-5.3 vortec v8 with 368,xxx miles on the motor.
-Push button 4 wheel drive
-Power seats
-CD/cassette player
-AC works great
-Trailer hitch and front tow hooks
-New tires including full size spare
The truck was a co-owner's at my uncle's company. He bought the truck brand new and has been worked on by a single shop who does all of their trucks. It has had ONLY synthetic oil it's whole life. I got it roughly a year ago when the transmission went out and was no more use to the business. Since then I had another 4l60e trans put in and used it as a college vehicle. It was driven around town, and made a few trips from Chesapeake to Radford (5.5 hour drive). Since then I have used it as a commuter around the 757, driving it 30 minutes almost everyday from Chesapeake to Portsmouth. I have another truck now, so it won't accumulate any more miles.
In the dash picture the SES light is on. There is an exhaust leak where the manifold bolts to the block in one spot. When I drove it in the mountains occasionally it would throw a code for a transmission slip. The only way to know it has slipped sometime while driving is the 1-2 shift gets more firm due to the trans increasing its pressure to prevent damage. On flat land I don't get that code. A simple rebuild would do wonders.
