1987 Foxbody drag car
Name: Jeff
Location: Chesapeake
Means of contact: PM
Price: $16k obo
Description: 1987 foxbody, 408ci stroker, Windsor iron block, Aluminum heads, rocker arms and crank are girdled ( professionally built by John Brey out of Chesapeake), Jerico 4 speed, vertigate Long shifter, Mcloud adj clutch, 4:30 gears, spool, 5 lug Moser, Wilwood draglite brakes, c-clip eliminators, anti roll bar, cage/ motor plate ( Matt Wirt at Racefab) BG fuel systen, 5 gallon fuel cell. 9.90's in the 1/4, 6.40's in the 1/8, 1.20's 60 ft. It will dead hook, pull the tires in first, it has stood on the rear bumper and sometimes will pull in second gear. The car is a handful to drive and not what I'd consider a "beginners car".
Trades?... it would have to be 4x4 with a Cummins or 7.3 and on 38's +
I don't need to sell it, but it has sat long enough. I just don't have the free time to go to the track and enjoy it. My grandfather and I built it, he's gets around to slow to go to the track any more. My grandfather bought the car brand new in 1987 so I know it's entire history.

Re: 1987 Foxbody drag car
Thanks. It's going to take the right buyer to want a clutch car which is probably why I still have it. If it was an auto w/ trans brake it would probably sell faster. Having a two step hooked to the clutch and banging gears is way more fun than an auto...
If this sells, the C5 is next on the market then shopping C6Z's....

I'll open trades up to Ford and Dodge dually, stock ride height ok, 4x4 is better but I'll entertain a two wheel drive dually as well. The right Z71 Tahoe, Surburban and Yukon would peak my interest too.
