My stepdad was telling me something about a yamaha Vmax, and how they were hot shit back in the day. I guess from what he was telling me alot of people were getting owned because they were so powerful. Im not sure if this information is accurate... anybody know what the hell He is talking about?

he's right, they were the absolute top shit when they came out, they are still powerful bikes, considering they are absolutely unchanged since they first came out in the early 80's i think it was thats pretty damn impressive, i can't imagine what they must have been like back then... but its a drag bike, won't handle or stop worth shit... two of my friends have them and they ride the crap out of em and love them, the bike has a cult like following so to speak, how some older cars even though they might not be the newest or the best have their own group of fanatics...

but if you want to see a reall bad v-max check out this video, bored out to 1517cc's, supercharged!!!, fully built motor, chain driven, w/ a 50 shot of nos(not used in video)... but its in top gear in the video, and look at how that thing pulls! lets just hope theres not a turn up ahead

my dad had a 96, supercharged. ran high 8's. he sold it this past summer for 6 G's. i'll see if i can find some pix of it.
