There have been an increasing number of threads from riders getting injured, most of them lacking in the gear department. I'm assuming it to be from the summer riding season.

We all know folks who don't wear gear, or inadequate gear.
I fit somewhat into this category, not always wearing my dedicated riding pants, only jeans.

I dont wear gear sometimes. I also don't act like an idiot on public streets when I'm not. If I go down, then it's my time.

It's simply your choice.

I saw some dipshit try to show off getting the front wheel up with only shorts/shirt on, fucker started to tank slap like a motherfucker, i can't believe he saved it.

I USUALLY wear all my gear. But I am bad about letting the riding shoes and my kevlar jeans slide since they get so hot in the summer weather.

At a minimum I wear the lid, gloves,jacket, jeans(not really going to help but it's a risk I accept), and boots. if I am commuting. If I am going to really ride(not just going to commute) I wear my riding pants as well.

I dont really have riding pants. I usually just wear jeans. I always wear a jacket, gloves and a lid though. I need to get me some boots too.

I picked up a pair of 14oz denim with Kevlar on the critical areas for like 80 bucks. They are way better than just plain jeans and you can't tell they are riding jeans.

its funny how on the days i dont wear anything but a helmet/gloves I think,"ill be fine" and brush it off. Soon as im on the road im wondering what the fuck I was thinking.
