VIR Results...............
On Thursday myself, John and Remmy did the practice day. Remmy wrecked in the first session due to his problems with Michelin tires. John and I had a good time...........
Session 1
Remmy 1:45.402
Rob 1:54.360
John 1:48.466
Session 2
Rob 1:50.866
John 1:52.254
Session 3
Rob 1:48.154
John 1:47.112
Session 4
Rob 1:45.620
John 1:44.770
As you can see my lap times improved with each session...........and seeing as how my best time from the last time at VIR was a 1:58 you can see how much I've improved. Suspension and rear sets can make a world of a difference.
Saturday...................(John was sick and stayed at the Hotel for the race)
Practice session
Rob didn't make it cause tires weren't changed fast enough
Remmy 1:49.676
John 1:47.525
Mark 1:41.776
Race 5, 600 superstock novice
Mark 1:38.089 13th
Remmy 1:47.387 55th
Rob 1:46.428 DNF
I wrecked in the 4th lap of 6 late braking a dude into turn 7. He had his line already and decided to swerve left to take a right handed turn. When he hit me I lost my brakes and tried to turn anyway...........I went into the grass. What fun.
Race 11, 600 superbike novice
Mark 1:39.907 38th
Remmy 1:43.744 44th
Sunday practice
Mark 1:42.381
Remmy 1:43.497
Rob 1:49.034 (wreck still kinda on my mind)
Sunday race 2, 600 superstock novice
Mark 1:39.448 18th
Remmy 1:44.254 27th
John 1:42.851 DNF (wrecked, I'll let him tell it!)
Rob 1:45.643 38th of 39 who finished..............Funny thing is you have to get to 32nd place to find someone with a quicker fastest lap time!! I was just too slow in all the rest of the laps!!
Sunday race ??, 600 superbike novice
Mark 1:38.018 13th
Remmy 1:44.201 21st I had already left.
So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Only Remmy and myself decided to run scrubs all weekend and we faired pretty good; bumps and bruises from wrecking aside.

I late braked him and was about to pass and start my turn when he drifted left!! I couldn't believe it. I was still on the brakes when he hit me and after the hit I no longer had any brakes. I got out in front of him and tried to turn even though I was going too damn fast. I ended up drifting to the left and going into the grass; couldn't keep it up at that speed and lost it.
I was fine..........but the bike needed a new brake line and some work done to the plastics. Got it fixed that afternoon and was able to race on Sunday.
It sucks because I had a great launch and was moving up; I'm NOT the fastest guy out there; but I was moving up with every lap. It sucks to have been put out of the race like that.

I know your name's Rob, I saw this part and thought someone else had written it "Practice session- Rob didn't make it cause tires weren't changed fast enough", that and all the times were marked "Rob" and not "Me" so I wasn't sure whose wreck description that was
did he sever your brake line and that why you lost brakes?
