anyone getting tired of the condition of 264 when there riding? whats the deal with the bullshit speedbump deals all over the place. i was comming back from va beach today and hit one of the things and now i have a flat front tire. maybe a cracked rim somwhere and my right fork seal is leaking. not to mention my nuts hurt like a bitch. sorry im just venting cause im getting kinda tired of the condition of 264, not the most biker friendly road out there. oh yeah and before someone bitches at me i was only doing about 5 over the speed limit. i just hit a bad spot i guess. One of my friends said something about you can make a claim or something with the city and they will pay for repairs caused by pot holes or whatever. anyone know anything about this cause i really dont wanna spend another 400 for another front rim

 

those arent speedbumps, those are shitty patches on our shitty roads.

Oh and yea t ecity will pay, you'll have to wait a year and then youll get a deprecated payment.

 

thats crap. i dont want to wait a year for something have to fix this year. my friend got a check from chesapeake for his car in like a month

 

my freind bent 3 of his rims on a pot hole in norfolk, it took a year.

 

my friend poped 2 tires and bent 2 rims in hampton interstate still waiting and its been 8 months

 

im glad the state can want money overnight but when you want something back it takes a year. aint that some shit? gotta love it.

and those expansion joints get worse in the summer time.

 

be careful man, turbo98 on here hit one and it sent him into the wall after tankslapping. ride over the part of the bump where its worn down from cars driving on it.

 

i know about where they are and start to hug the line to stay in the car tracks, then they're not bad. 64 is the same way from military to about north hampton (route 13) but the middles are even higher.

good luck getting money from the city from damage caused on a state highway, i'm not exactly sure how it works but it sounds like the city could just pass you off to the state.

 

yea you may be better off claiming it was done on a raod.
