Default shorty exhaust

I have been wanting to cut my pipe down because of some rash. Does anyone know if I would be able to use a hacksaw?

You can use whatever, hacksaw, sure but it might take a week, go get a dremil or a angle grinder, tape it off where you will cut mark it with a marker and use a steady hand. Also what bike are you doing this on, a carb'd will probably not do so well unless its jetted or tuned for a open exhast.
