Default ruckus owners quick question?

hey im buying a ruckus tomorrow and was wondering if I bought an aftermarket muffler for it would I need any preceding mods for it to run correctly?

Yeah, you might need to re-jet.

Go to TotalRuckus and look it up there, plenty of info on this subject available.

I'm running the yoshimura cyclone on my ruckus and I was lucky enough I didnt need to rejet. Truthfully, every bike is different. You may need to rejet, you may not.

yeah u should get the yoshimura TRC exhaust, u wouldnt have to rejet

aiight thanx ill check em out. i was reading about rejetting and it looks like a fucking pain. so if i do mod it, ima buy all the parts at once so i only have to rejet one time

Yes, buy your intake and exhaust same time and rejet or buy a pc20 carb. Im just waiting for my pc20 carb so i can tune it.

I rode another guy's 07 Ruckus on Saturday that had installed a TRC without a re-jet.

Seemed to ride fine. Honestly it felt a *little* slower than my stock 2008, but it also felt like it helped the midrange a little bit.....to the extent that a Ruckus has a midrange.


EDIT: I'm organizing a DC area ride on TotalRuckus for September 13th (Sunday). If you're in the area, drop into the thread on TR or PM me on here. We'll have some people riding in from nova and others coming down 355 from Moco.
