VB judges don't care about you. They listen to the cop, even if he's blatantly lying. They only want your money. Get a lawyer. I recommend John Venner. He got my boy out of several offenses including running from 2 cops. He's currently working on my case...

oh yeah was going to tow the bike that wasn't even his but we got the cop to leave the bike alone . . the guy almost killed himself on it . . someone elses 05 harley and your gonna try and run and almost wreck it . .so on top of just getting a helmet vilolation he got wreckless driving, felony evading, helmet and I think no license . .
i'd say thats what get gets for trying to run on a slow bike, on any sport bike he'd have been far past the cop before he had time to try to tazer him

actually the guy couldn't ride very well and ran to his own house and when he got off the bike is when the cop was going to tazer him . . . . . not that bright but still . . but on a sport bike he'd probably kill himself before the cops had a chance to try and catch him . .

Not only is running a really FUCKING bad idea and leaves yet another black eye for those sportbike riders that are not braindead, in the eyes of the popo and general public, it's also a class 6 FELONY. If you do it enough they will find you.

Some cops have moving radar installed. They can see your speed way before you even pass them. My friend's dad was a trooper and he got people all the time on that. Also Newport News motorcycle cops have moving radar in I believe 6 different directions that all run simultaneously. When I got my ticket, the cop was going the other way before he turned around to pull me over.

in the state of virginia it is actually illegal to lock on a target speed while using radar according to 46.2-882, however if a laser unit which actually pin points one single vehicle, upon request, the officer shall show the violator the display at his/her discretion...

LOL really? calibrated within 24 hours of the violation?? where did you get this tidbit of info? also as far as accuracy, it doesnt matter when the unit is calibrated, its required every six months, however, the unit should be checked for proper opertion before and after every shift... also, it does not matter if the unit is mounted in the vehicle or if the officer is holding it... it all works the same... the comment about the bike being a smaller target is true, but with these new Ka band units, its hard to out smart them... alot of the newer units have a fast track system which gives you two readings, one being the reading of say a group of vehicles, and another reading that pulls the quickest speed through the beam. then its up to the officer to determine which vehicle that is...
