Default Product to spray over rust?

My headers are kinda rusty, and I don't really want to take the time to take them off and sand blast them then paint, so I was wondering if any one knew of a product I could just spray over rust that would either stop or fix the rust and make the headers look better? I know some paint exists that lets you paint over rust and it turns it into a much stronger metal, but its expensive and I just want a spray form? Any ideas?

they make header paint that looks just like the gray DC headers...think its called like ceramic or somthing...but its got HEADERS on the can. they also have EVERY color in 1200 degree paint. and then a 500degree for cheaper.

yeah shit works good...i painted the 1200 degree on my turbo manifold cause i have the log cast style that rust...painted it black, it lasted about 15mins of boosting...lol..shit burnt off..but it left a flatblack color on the cast metal so it still looks better than rust....It never melted off my Header tho when i was n/a.

So you guys think just taking the 1200 temp. header spray paint will do the trick? I mean my headers are straight up rusted, its surface rust but its real rust none the less...

I'd take the time to remove it, sand/bead blast it and paint it. Removing the header on a bike is so much easier than a car.

Ya but then I have to pay to get it sand blasted, and its going to be covered up by fairings anyways, so it doesn't have to look great, it just has to be black lol.

i don't care what you put on it, short of having it jet-coated. it's not going to stay on. that first bend out of the head gets STUPID hot, and it'll burn off anything you put on that comes out of a can, guaranteed.

if you really want to cover it up, go get a roll of header wrap.
