Default opinions please

i know this is an issue discussed and everybody has a different opinion. BREAK IN is what i'm referring to and some people say strictly go by the owners manual and others say to go by motoman or basically to ride the bike how you're going to ride it...maybe a little bit easier for the first 20 or so miles. please...all opinions appreciated. thanks everyone

Cant go wrong with a manual written by the manufacturer of the bike. The same manufacturer that offers you that warranty as well.

there are good arguements for the hard and easy break in methods... i believe in the "break it in how you will ride it" method, pretty much ride it like you would any other day, i gradually stepped up the rpms and throttle, would let it cool down and do it again each time getting harder on the gas and letting it rev harder... i changed the oil at 100 miles, 500 miles, and 1,500 miles since all that metal on metal breaking in has to leave some metal particles behind... and avoid running at the same rpm for long periods of time, like the interstate... thats what i did and my bike is running strong at 16k with lots of racing and hard riding on it and definetly puts out average or above average power
