No-Chase Policy
Does anyone know of local jurisdictions or the state's policy on pursuit? In GA where i'm originally from there is a no-chase policy in regards to excessive speeding if the chasing officer would create greater traffic risk in pursuit and/or the officer would not be able to catch up to the offender. Anyone ever hear of anything like that here? I've been pulled over once but have zoomed by many patrol cars (city wide and state troopers).

Re: No-Chase Policy
Generally the no chase policy is a myth--trust me. It's usually up to the officers discretion.

Why does it matter what the policy is? You shouldn't be running from the cops regardless of the policy.

Re: No-Chase Policy
you're right...probably shouldn't be running from cops but i like going faster than "normal riders" but don't like tickets. I know, it's a paradox. It jus sucks to have to be going 55 on a 3 lane highway with little to no traffic.

Re: No-Chase Policy
It's not worth it to run, regardless of policy.
It WILL catch up to you sooner or later.
