I just finished installing my hot bodies undertail exhaust. I slightly modded the exhaust with a baffle and also by wrapping it up with heat insulating header wrap and coating it with high temp silicone spray to protect and seal the pipe. not to mention the extra heat sheilds I installed in the tail fairing.

here are some pics I took today: ignore the clamp at the bottom of the pipe. The original clamp which came with the kit snapped after I tightened it too much. I am going to find a better replacement but just note that the current clamp is a temporary thing!

 

I dont know much about bikes but Im really loving the black frame, swing arm and wheels.

 

Looks awesome; nice and clean. I guess it's a good thing you don't have a rear seat, because I'm sure it'd get hot real quick. Either way, looks S X E.

 

I believe they came stock on the K4 & 5's. Nice bike!

 

just what to give you the heads up and that is that you will get a ticket for your licence plate being there my boy did last summer.

 

did you do away with the curved out muffler tip or did hot bodies stop doing that? personally i think it would look x10 better if you chopped off another 1/2" off the muffler tip so that it was almost flush with the undertail... but it looks great

 

I am not a big fan of yellow, but your bike is tastefully done!

I would rotate this exhaust clamp in that last pic, or move it or just get anoter one, ss maybe, it looks ok , but that just stood out to me

 

thanks to all, yeah I need a new clamp that one is just temp. I also need to make a new license plate bracket thats more visable. I dont think Ill have any problems with the police though, Ive been riding around lately and rode next to at least 3 cops so far and havent had any problems yet.
