Hey man, you might want to check out www.gixxer.com. They have specific forums for just about every model of GSXR ever made.

Good luck with your search.

I checked the fiche on Ron Ayers and the cylinder head is the same for '04 and '05, but they don't have any information for the '06-'07 models yet. However, I checked the fiche on BikeBandit, and it appears the '06 cylinder head is the same as the '04-'05. Have you checked with the exhaust manufacturers to see if the parts number is the same for the exhaust system you are looking at for these years?

they dont make the exhaust i want for my bike so i cant cross reference there using the exhaust off the 06-07 gsxr 600-750-1000 to make it work some how the exhaust is the hot bodies slash cut megaphone(or any gp style exhaust for that matter) there is a 02 600 on youtube thats got it and it sounds awesome and looks just as good the exhaust is like 275.00 just dont wanna get it and cut up and not figure out how to make it work

Why don't you use the header for your specific year model and fasten whatever can you want to it?

The Hot Bodies Slash cut is just a piece of pipe that takes the place of the cat on the 06-07. If you take your bike to any exhaust shop they can make the same thing and you'll probably save $200. I've only seen one in person on a 07 GSXR, it was less than two months old, already had oxidation and sounded like total ass. The guy that had it also said it made the bike run like crap until he got a custom tune on his Power Commander. It is just a $275 piece of metal pipe that hooks to your stock header. It's your money but I would highly suggest getting an actual slip-on exhaust and not just sticking a piece of pipe on it.

If you get it I would also suggest getting some ear plugs. It is ear-piercing loud even at interstate cruising speeds and prepare for every LEO that sees you to pull you over.

Yeah that's the one the guy had on his bike that I was talking to (or very similar) If you've ever heard a bike with open headers that's what it sounds like under power. If you want to know what it will sound like on your bike unhook the cat from the headers and take it for a spin. I promise it will be very similar in sound. If I were you I would stick with the yosh or find a real exhaust that has the look you're going for. I know Micron, M4, and Jardine all make GP style slip-ons for the K6-K7 that can be retro-fitted to your bike. Do a search on GSXR.com and you can find plenty of threads and pictures on the retro-fitting.
