My newb intro
Well I'm newb to the whole 2-wheel world. Been riding only for a month and some change. Mainly got it for commuting from Va bch to NOB. The bike is a '03 CBR600RR. The only mods I have are Vortex frame sliders, Vortex lowering links, and Tripage fender eliminater kit. I have some flus mount signals and a seat cowl coming in and contemplating on a Two Brothers M2 CF exhaust. Not sure yet... and some powdering coating is definitely being planned.
Well here's my bike.
This is what the cowl I'm getting looks like

Re: My newb intro
bike looks nice.
since you've only been riding for a month, keep the training wheels on. only raise it back up when you feel more comfortable riding. also, looks like you will need a new kickstand before you can raise it back up.

I'm definitely planning on raising it back up when I feel more comfortable. Also, I joined 600rr.net before I bought the bike. To learn a little more before purchasing one.

Re: My newb intro
not to thread jack but how does lowering a bike make the ride quality feel? I am kind of short 5'8 so on my katana i was fine because the banana seat diped fairly low but i sat on my buddies RR and i was tippy towing at best, so i think when i got to buy a bike (which will be a cbr f4i/rr or sv650) i will need to lower it to be confident at a stop lol, any thoughts or comments?

Re: My newb intro
my SV650 would be low enough for you... and if it isnt you can always get a Aftermarket seat (corbin, seargent) they are all lower... also, my Sv used to be LOW as FUG when i got it, then i raisd and BAM..... more ground brearance, leans further = closer turning radius.. at speed of course. The RR is def a lil higher, i rode my buddy's and the height was just perfect for me (im about 6'1" or 2")......... but if it comes down to YOU HAVE TO LOWER IT... i think you can get away with an inch..
AND dont be a GIRL!!! i've seen a chick riding a 636, barely reached and she didnt lower hers... so, suck it up, learn ballet and dont be a pussy!!
