I am looking to buy a motorcycle. At this moment, I'm not looking at what's for sale, I'm looking into what kind of bike I want to get.

I am looking for a nice fun bike to drive on the interstate to work and back. I will be driving about 70 miles daily to keep the miles off my car so I am looking for a very nice MPG bike. I am not looking for a show bike, trick bike, or a powerful bike.

I am more into the cruiser bikes, I think they're called.

I do not have much of an interest in the sport bikes, like the Ninjas and the CBRs and R6.

I have been looking at bikes such as a Honda Nighthawk, Shadow/Shadow-Spirit and more recently, the Suzuki Savage.

I want to avoid heavy powerful bikes such as Harleys, because of generally low gas mileage.

Does anyone have helpful suggestions or tips?

I am definitely looking for a cheap, used and reliable bike.

Har har... Scooters are a definite no and they dont look like they can go 70mph on the interstate...

And keeping the CCs up above 600 would be more to my liking...

get an ex500 they have a standard seating position which is super comfortable have plenty of power, are dirt cheap new and I average around 55mpg on the highway
