Looking at getting my first bike
I'm interested in purchasing m first bike and would like to get something that would be easy to start with but powerful enough to let me grow into it a little bit so I dont get bored once I have some time under my belt.
Im 6ft and weigh right around 185. - Looking more for used not brand new too -
Im also looking for some classes to take. I live in NN and would appreciate any suggestions you all have and will look into any ideas.
-Thanks

Will..........I think you would like the Ducati S2R. Very easy to ride, lots of torque, slipper clutch and the Italian L-Twin sounds excellent. I like my 600RR alot, but if I had to pick a bike to ride everyday it would be the Duc. I think the SV is another decent starter bike. The Duc (IMO) has more style and a unique following. Go to Redline in Yorktown and sit on a few bikes. Good Luck

Re: Looking at getting my first bike
ok i live in hampton but most of the ppl i ride with live in NN.. i owned a bike for about 3 weeks now and ill tell u my personal experience..before u go ride with anyone(unless they are completely brand new like you) do a day just by yourself at your own pace (hit up neighborhoods and semi major streets). Get gear as soon as possible. i know it cost alot but its a good investment. Gear= JACKET, GLOVES, HELMET OF COURSE, AND PANTS(JO ROCKET MAKES BLUE STEEL JEANS[LOOKS LIKE REGULAR JEANS]. trust me, most people dont wear pants, but when u go down and your bike slams your knee and slides it into the gravel for a couple feet u r gonna wish u had pants. If u r fully geared up when u go down u wont get hurt at all. unless u go down at high speeds. then its just of luck of the draw with the impact, thomas nelson has msf courses but trying to sign up now, will probably get u in mid summer, but im just completely guessing there.. if u r cautious about your paintjob get framesliders now too..will cost around 80 bucks with shipping. Cars will pull out in front of u..they will not see u..always be cautious with cars, once u r comfortable with riding by yourself, me and some of my NN boys will ride with you and get u more comfortable with ridin in groups, and on a end note, no wheelies for a while , and u most likely wont drop your bike if u take it slow, so dont fear it, and with gear on, dropping a bike aint that bad
