but the 900rr and ZX9r were also competing in that catagory, so i'd say anything 900cc or up... hell my "liter" bike is only 988cc's

yeah, i know. this is where i'm getting confused. my friend works at a parts counter here in woodbridge and said my 750 was a litre bike comparing to his 600r. don't know

i wouldn't say so, 750 is a seperate class, or atleast it used to be, now the only one left in it really is the gixxer 750... the zx9r, 900rr, cbr1000 and fzr1000 created the liter bike class so i'd count them even though the first two didn't displace a full liter, if someone built a 812cc bike designed to compete in the liter bike class then sure i'd probably call it a liter bike even though it might not be one in the technical sense, but since the 750 was never intended to be competition in that class and is 3/4 of a liter i wouldn't consider it one... when the open class(liter bikes) first started, they ran bored out 750's against them for one year, just b/c alot of guys had so much money put into them but couldn't go and invest in a brand new 1000 in just one season, but now the liter class is just liter bikes

but in some classes they run 1000cc v-twins and other 1000+cc engine configurations against 750 in-lines, but usually in that case its the 1000 actually being called a "750" for classification sake
