Written test and they will set up cones in the lot.

Depending on who happens to be giving it at that particular time will depend on how tough the test will be. I won't go into details, but I did it on my old 1977 cb750 and I barely passed with all the crap the bitch made me do. But I've heard of others that barely had to ride their bike's to pass..........

Back in 96 it was like 12 bucks.............and you can retake it like a week later.

Why not just let her take the permit test? Only a written test done on the pc and she can ride. She must have someone on a bike with her and she can't have any passengers. I believe that she couldn't ride at night or on the highway either, but I'm not sure.

But at least she'll be able to ride and get some practice in legally before taking the license test.

I might be wrong, but i'm pretty sure you have to have your permit to get your license, i think if your a minor you have to hold it for like 6 months, if your an adult i think you only have to hold it for like 15 days or something like that, but it could have changed

the permit wouldn't be completely legal if she's going to work alone, but it would be better than getting pulled with nothing if she doesn't have time or doesn't pass

I didnt have a permit when i got my license. I took the MSF course, then i took the DMV written test which is the same for a permit. I guess if you've done the riding test they cant say you have to hold a permit. Either way, it worked out for me.

Id just have her get a permit for now and ride out, cause it's like Del said, being pulled with nothing is far worse than with just a permit. All the riding classes are booked im sure, so you'd have to go on a waiting list. However, if your military i believe you can take the same class/test on base, you just need to supply your own bike i believe.
