Default know anything about old honda CBRs?

Cuz mine died yesterday. It just shut off, no lights, no gauges, nothing. Checked the main fuse, blown. Replaced it and it fired right up only to die again a mile down the road. Any info would be useful.

93 CBR600 F2

Thanks

I had a 98 f3 that had a problem with the recifricator. like the alternator on a car so it wouldn't charge the battery so even when I jumped it will die out while riding and won't start again. I will check that not saying its the problem

when it died the second time, was it the main fuse again? If so, you have an intermitant short in the wiring somewhere. (it takes a pretty hefty short to pop the main fuse)

and yeah, cbr600f2/f3's and 900rr's are notorious for frying regulator/rectifiers.

the second time it died, it was not the main fuse. The battery was dead, however. It's really weird.

. Maybe I got the part name wrong atleast I posted something of help so he could figure out his problem. I can take constructive criticism so the right part name would have been just fine

Yeah I'd say check your regulator, could very well be fried. On the right side of your subframe, the connector piece burnt up be easiest way to tell, mine went bad, thought it was the battery so I put a new one in and it was dead a day later, was the regulator. Looked like this on my 1995 F3:

had the same prob with my bike (94 900rr) after the replacement of the rectifier i had to put a stator in and burnt 3 of those up your best bet would be take it to honda to see if they can fix it. never take it to Burkhead he charged me 300 to fix mine and it did the same thing 2 weeks later. HONDA is the place to take it i dont know quite where the problem is but it can be fixed easy. If you have more questions or need help let me know i have been through it
