i just picked up a 1982 honda cb900 today. im not really motorcycle inclined so i really dont know what im doing. its been sitting for about 10 years so idk what needs to be replaced but i have an idea. i want to turn it into a cafe bike. so if anyone has any knowledge on these bikes or has built some cafe bikes please help me out with any suggestions with what i should so. im more or less just thinking about shaving all the turn signals and the big tail light and putting a led strip under the seat.(ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A CAFE SEAT PLEASE MESSAGE ME IM LOOKING FOR ONE). i guess i would like some ideas on what to do. thanks

 

Well you could always start off by posting in the right forum.

Are you saying you are not inclined, mechanically? OR, you don't know how to ride a bike? OR both?

 

My guess is that OP just isn't mechanically inclined.

you need to talk to a vadriven user on here by the name of GNARLEYCHARLIE4U? or gnarleycharlie...somethin close...its on my friends list. i know he does alot of work with older bikes like this.

if you give up at some point and decide to sell the bike, hit me up i might want it lol.
