Default Help-----project bike

Alright, since I wrecked my bike yesterday, I've decided that it was actually for the better. I was tired of the "I'm stuck in the 80's" look the upper fairing had anyway.

That being said, it's street fighter time. I got the upper fairing completely removed today, but I'm trying to salvage the signals for now. Anyone know how to get the signals out of the fairing without cutting wires?

From the inside of the fairings, remove the screw that holds the metal plate inside the rubber signal housing. The hole on the metal plate should be big enough to slide over the ends of the wires. The signal should then pop out of place with a little effort.

I did that, but it's too big to bring the entire signal back through the small hole. I'd really like to avoid cutting wires, but it's either that or cutting the fairing, and that is one tough piece of plastic.

I know, but I ran into another problem today. I can't figure out how to get my rear signals out without loosing my license plate mount. Also, is my brake light also in the same bundle of wires as the rear signals?

Ditch the rear fender and get a fender eliminator with turn signal mounts. Problem solved ;-).
