Default Help me pick my next bike!!

Ive had my Ninja 500 for almost 3 years. Havn't had any probs with it but I just want something newer. Something more modern. The 500 does all I can ask and unlike most people who said I would outgrow it, I really havn't. When I first started riding I rearlly wanted a 636 but after riding a few 600's idk if I can do that crotch postion all day long. So I been looking at the Ninja 650 and the SV 650 they are newer, better, and faster than my 500. Which one should I pick or should I pick something else all together? Looking to buy this winter.

Only requirements are:
~ 4k budget
no Hondas
something sporty
something w/full fairings!

Crouch position? How tall are you?

I'm sure we have different sized frames, but my 636 is the most comfortable modern sportbike I've ridden and I've ridden just about everything on the market.

5'10. Well I just mean that foward leaning position. I actually havnt rid nor sat on a 636 but I heard basically all sport bikes have that positon. I've riden a R6 and a Gixxer 600 and didn tlike either of their positions. I guess I should at least try out the 636.

Any opinions on the Ninja 650? I know the SV is well liked by most. I just like the way the Ninja 650 looks more.

I think you'd really like the 650r. Not an aggressive riding position, adequate power, unique sound. If you were to spend a little more money, the new FZ6R would be excellent for you. If you weren't requiring full fairing, I'd recommend the FZ6.

There is a HUGE aftermarket for the SV650! On that alone I would reccomend it over the Ninja. I'm going to be honest, I have no experience with a Ninja 650, so I'm going to be 100% biased. With that said, the look of the SV is nicer, and the options are limitless.

That said, most modern sportbikes do have an "aggressive" riding position, but every one's just a bit different so don't rule out a 600 on that alone. Go sit on some. Persuade a friend to let you ride one for a bit, too.

But SV hands down out of your choices.
