Default GPR came in today!!!!!

I am kinda stoked!!! My GPR V1 Stabilizer arrived today. I had it installed in about 10-15 mins. It looks a little bulky but it will be ok and well worth it in the long run I am sure. I have not gotten a chance to take the bike out and see how it feels but I can only imagine.

I was wondering the same thing.

Here's their website: http://gprstabilizer.com/prod_v1

Seems like its just a steering dampener?

A steering damper is a damping device designed to inhibit an undesirable, uncontrolled movement or oscillation of a vehicle steering mechanism (a phenomenon known in the motorcycling community as 'wobble', or in extreme cases, a 'tank-slapper').

Well.. i picked up a GPR a few months back from a guy for $75. It needed to have the seals redone.

So I called up GPR. They told me that it was $25 for a service if I didn't have a reciept. I also needed a fit kit which was $150 (fit kit is the mounting hardware for your particular bike). And the arm that goes to the fit kit on the back of the GPR was the older model so they would need to give me a new one, which is another $20. So... to recap.
$25 - Service (new seals and fluid)
$20 - Arm
$150 - Fit kit
$13 - shipping

Which would be $208 to have it back and ready to mount.

Or i can do the V1 upgrade which I paid $263 and send in my old GPR Stabilizer. In turn they would send me a "BRAND NEW" newer model V1 any color I wanted with a fit kit shipped.

So I opted to pay they extra $55 and get the new one. All in all .. i ended up forking out $338 for everything including shipping. Not too too bad.

It is a steering damper that is a little more compact and has 8 adjustments. When you are really wrenching into the throttle sometimes you front tire will start to come up and start a tank slapping session from the tire skipping across the ground.

This is to help prevent that. Also is to help when in a corner and you hit a bump, keeps your bars from jumping all over the place. Will also help with any bumps in the road so that they dont cause you to jerk the bars.

But it is primarily for the more agressive rider.

Is this turn dial? My buddy has a Scott's on his R1 and I LOVE using that thing on the highway.

Good buy.
